HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 05062008 - 08-318 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Resolution on May 6, 2008 by the following vote: AYES: Gioia,Uilkema,Piepho,Bonilla&Glover NOES: none ABSENT: none ABSTAIN: none ---- - — -�- --- RESOLUTION NO. 2008/ r'7 SUBJECT: Approving and Authorizing the Public Works Director, or designee, to fully close a portion of Willow Pass Road, on May 26, 2008 from 9:00am through 11:00am, for the purpose of'Memorial Day Parade, Bay Point area. (District V) RC-08-08-4 IT IS BY THE BOARD RESOLVED that permission is granted to Bay Point Garden Club & Bay Point Chamber of Commerce to fully close Willow Pass Road, except for emergency traffic, on May 26, 2008 for the period of 9:00ain through 11:00atn, subject to the following conditions: 1. Traffic will be detoured via neighboring streets per plan reviewed by Public Works. 2. All signing to.be in accordance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices including the California Supplement. 3. Bay Point Garden Club & Bay Point Chamber of Commerce shall comply with the requirements of the Ordinance Code of Contra Costa County. 4. Provide the County with. a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 for Comprehensive General Public Liability which names the County as an additional insured prior to permit issuance. 5. Obtain approval for the closure from the Sheriff's Department, the California Highway Patrol and the Fire District. 6. Bay Point Garden Club & Bay Point Chamber of Commerce shall keep a minimum of a 20' wide emergency lane unobstructed through the entire length of the closure.
