ON THE OCCASION OF ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY,APRIL 30,2008 WHEREAS, Oak Grove Intermediate School opened its doors on October 27, 1958, serving a student population of Seventh and Eighth Graders; and WHEREAS, the first Principal of Oak Grove Interinediate School, Joe ilauner, served from 1958 until his death in 1972; and WHEREAS, the second Principal, Bill Smith, served from.. 1972 until his retireineiit iil 1982, when the Board of Education Honored Mr. Smithw.itli tlie.'B' iii District%for:Tarent Communication'; and WHEREAS, Sandra Buckserved-as:;Principal from,19824 ir6ugh:1984; and x ..
