IN THE MATTER OF CELEBRATING RESOLUTION NO. 2007/191
THE INSPIRATIONAL LIFE AND
CONTRIBUTIONS OF FRED HARRIS
Whereas, Freddie Lee Iarris (tired) had a long history working for the betterment of youth, families and
conununities in West Contra Costa; and
Whereas, Fred was born in Monroe, Louisiana in 1945 and moved to Richmond, California in 1946; and
Whereas, Fred attended school in:tl elichmond Unifted;.School'Districtyand graduated from Harry Ills
High School in 1963;.and:::.
Whereas, Fred trained as an:.elecirician and pursed his vocation as:a":electrician'for`3.5 years; and

Whereas, Fred,llarris volunteered his coaching skills to the champion Richmond Steelers organization
for 27.seasons• and
