IN THE MATTER OF HONORING RESOLUTION NO. 2007/133
DEPUTY PUBLIC DEFENDER HOWARD JAMESON
TO COMMEMORATE HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Howard Jameson grew up in the Bay Area and attended the University of California at .
Berkeley, from which he received his BA degree in 1961; and
WHEREAS, after Howard Jameson received his law degree from Hastings College of the Law in
1964, he worked as a Research- I k for Justice Bray and.Justice Sims on the First District
Court of Appeal; and
WHEREAS, Howard Jan'leson;begaii,`;his own law practice in 1965 once known as Jameson, Cully
and Dolgin-jn'—Marti iez and continued it for 30 years until 1995, and

Alternate Defender Office; and
WHEREAS; as a private,practitioner and as.,a Deputy Public Defender,`Howard Jameson has been
knohwn dhroughout the Contra-Costa County legal community as a trial workhorse h#ving
handled every conceivable kuid of case from misdemeanors up`thxough,hotnlct es and
several capital cases, and

WHEREAS,Howard Jameson has proven rhimself through trial after trial over a forty year career to
