HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 06032004 - 94-63 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CON!RA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Hotter of Declaring February 1994 as AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH in � RESOLUT70N NO. 9416 3 Contra Costa Cru ntv VVhIF.REAS, the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)sponsors February as American History Month each year to stimulate a knowledge in both young and old and a sense of pride in our Notion's great achievements and dedication to liberty; and WHEREAS, the backbone of this great nation of America is its history upon which all of our accomplishments arebased; and WHERF.A.S, the DAR wants to smess pride in the United States of America through conununiry services in onal programs, essay contests, and historic tours; and �VHF.RErlS, through the study of American History, we are made aware of the importance of freedom, equality,justice, and humanity; and WHEREAS, we want to exte»d our commendation to the DAR for making American citizens aware of our heritage and the benefits of being on American. It is the time for our nation to bond together and to celebrate the liberty we are all fortunate enough to enjoy everyday. NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1TRESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors proclaims February 1994 as AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH in Contra Costa Counry, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON January 25, 1994, by a unanimous vete of the Board members present.
