HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 06032004 - 94-28 THE BOARD OF 1. .1ERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA -OUNTY,, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on January 1 1______994 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Bishop, McPeak, Torlakson and Powers NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor Smith ABSTAIN: None RESOLUTION Na. 94/28 SUBJECT: Salary Reallocation for Superior Court Services Clerk 11 & IV in the Superior Court The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: 1 Superior Court Service Clerk 11 (JWX4} shall be reallocated from salary level C5 1390 $1824 - $2217 to salary level C5 1404 $1849 - $2248 effective January 1, 1994. In lieu of retroactive pay, employees will receive a lump sum payment computed as follows: Employees' regular pay and overtime pay will be added together for each applicable pay period to determine the Retro Pay Base. This base will then be multiplied by 1 .43% to arrive at the employees' lump sum payment. This computation will be for pay periods retroactive to April 1, 1993. 2. Superior Court Services Clerk IV (JWX6} shall be reallocated from salary level XC 1624 $2194 - $2801 to salary level XC 1654 $2261 - $2886 effective January 1, 1994. In lieu of retroactive pay, employees will receive a lump sum payment computed as follows: Employees' regular pay and overtime pay will be added together for each applicable pay period to determine the Retro Pay Base, This base will then be multiplied by 3.00% to arrive at the employees' lump sum payment. This computation will be for pay periods retroactive to April 1, 1993. 3. Superior Court Service Clerk IV-Technician (2BT4) shall be reallocated from salary level XC 1638 $2227 - $2840 to salary level XC 1654 $2261 - $2886 effective January 1, 1994. In lieu of retroactive pay, employees will receive a lump sum payment computed as follows: Employees' regular pay and overtime pay will be added together for each applicable pay period to determine the Retro Pay Base. This base will then be multiplied by 1.53% to arrive at the employees' lump sum payment. RVISORS FROM: PHIL BATCHELOR County Administrator DATE: JANUARY 11, 1994 SUBJECT: SALARY DIFFERENTIAL FOR SUPERIOR COURT SERVICES CLERK 11 & IV Request(s) or Recommendations(s)Specific & Background & Justification RECOMMENDATIONS: ADOPT the attached resolution to provide for the reallocation of Superior Court Service Clerk 11 (JWX4) from salary level C5 1390 $1824 - $2217 to salary level C5 1404 $1849 - $2248; Superior Court Services Clerk IV {JWX6) from salary level XC 1624 $2194 - $2801 to salary level XC 1654 $2261 - $2886; and Superior Court Service Clerk IV- Technician {2BT4) from salary level XC 1638 to salary level XC 1654 $2261 - $2886. FINANCIAL IMPACT: - The estimated annual cost of the reallocation is under $6,000. The Superior Court has agreed to absorb this cost within their current budgeted salary allocation. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The recommended increase in the salary range for the Superior Court Services Clerks 11 and IV will reestablish a long term salary parity between this class and the County-wide clerical series.
