Event of the 1993 U.S. National
Police Olympics
WBEREAS,Michael Schubert has been a Community Services Officer with the
Pittsburg Police Department since September, 1991;
'HAS.J'Michael earned a Bronze Medal in the Open Division of the Police Summer Games in Southern California on June 25, 1993, qualifying to compete in the National
Police Olympics;
he was one of two olice officers from California who ualified to

compete in the 1993 Nat onal Police Officers Chympics which took place on Novem er 27, 1993, in
San Antonio,Texas;
2Michael captured the coveted Gold Medal in the Judo Event at the
1993 National Police Officers Olympics.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVI-
SORS OF COKiiu COSTA COUNTY commends Michael Schubert for m capturing g the Gold '
Medal in the Judo Event of the 1993 National Police Officers Olympic Co Dettion'and recognizes
him for his outstanding representation of the Pittsburg Police Departmeni—, Nntra Costa County
and California at this national competition*
