HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 06032003 - 70-84 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTACOUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of the Resolution ) and Notice to Call for Bids for ) RESOLUTION NO. 70/84 Demolition and Removal of County ) Buildings on (Pacheco Boulevard ) (Govt .C. 25363) Martinez) (Camino Pablo - Orinda) ) ) The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: The Public Works Director has informed this Board that the improvements located on land acquired for the future widening of Pacheco Boulevard and Camino Pablo, described in the Notice to Bidders attached hereto and by reference incorporated herein, must be removed and recommends that sealed bids be received for the demolition and removal of the improvements . The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa finds and: determines that the above described improvements are no longer needed for any public use and hereby directs the County Right of Way Agent to call for sealed bids for the demolition and removal of the improvements in accordance with the specifications for demolition prepared by the Right of Way Agent which are hereby approved.. This Board sets Wednesday , March 4 , 1970, at 10 :00 a.m. , in the office of the Right of way Agent , 5th Floor, Administration Building, Martinez, California, as the time and place for recep- tion and public opening of sealed bids . The Clerk of the Board is directed to post in three public places in the County at least five (5) days prior to the call for bids the Notice to Bidders attached hereto. PASSED AND ADOPTED on February 17 , 1970 , by at least a 4/5 vote of this Board. cc : Public Works (2) Administrator MDF:me RESOLUTION NO. 70/84 NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received in the office of the County Rig17,t of Way Agent, 5th Floor, Administration Building, 11art i nez, California, until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the 4th day of i��rlh, 1970, for the demolition and removal from County property, the following, described buildings Item No. 1 Wood frame house and detached garage located at 2.535 Pacheco Blvd. , Martinez Item No. 2 Mood frame house and detached garage located at 152 Camino Pablo, Orinda Specifications and Proposal forms are available at the office of the County Right of Way Agent, 5th Floor, Administration Building, Martinez, .California. The buildings will be opened for inspection upon request to the County Right of Way Agent. Each item is to be contracted separately and bid on separately. A lump sum or contingent bid will not be considered. All bidders will be required to submit with each bid, a bid band, cash, or cashier's check in the amount oT�C30.00 as a bid guaranty. A bid deposit of $200 must be made if two bids are submitted.. The successful bidder will be required to execute a Demolition Contract with the County of Contra Costa,, agreeing that said demolition and removal will be done in accordance with the (Specifications for Demolition and Removal of Buildings. The accepted bidder will also be required to submit to the County for each bid awarded, a performance bond in the amount of $1,000 and a labor and material bond in the amount of 50% of the contractor's estimated coat of labor, as approved by the County. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, By Order of the Board of Supervisors. W. T.
