HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 06032003 - 70-40 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Proclaiming a State of Disaster in North Richmond Area, and } RESOLUTION NO. 70/40 Requesting the Governor to so Proclaim. } } On December 20, 1969, certain public streets as well as privately owned buildings and property in the North Richmond area of Contra Costa County were damaged by flood waters which had escaped from the banks of Wildcat Creek during a long and heavy rainstorm. On January 21, 1970, certain public streets as well as privately owned buildings and property in the North Richmond area were damaged by flood waters which had escaped from the banks of Wildcat Creek and San Pablo Creek during a long and heavy rainstorm. Acting on the request of residents of the North Richmond area, this Board hereby proclaims that a state of local disaster existed in the North Richmond area due to the damages caused in said area by flood waters on December 20, 1969, and again on January 21, 1970 . This Board also hereby requests that the Governor of the State of California proclaim that a state of disaster existed in the North Richmond area due to the flooding conditions set forth hereinabove on the dates hereinabove set out.
