P-2 , ) Danville--Alamo Area } (Gov.C. §§25210 .21, 25210 .22) } RESOLUTION SUSPENDING RESOLUTION NO. 69/'765 WHICH APPROVED FORMATION OF COUNTY SERVICE AREA P-2,, ALAMO-- DANVILLE AREA, AND CALLING FOR AN ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE QUESTION OF WHETHER SAID RESOLUTION NO. 69/765 SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE VOTERS The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT. On Tuesday, November 18, 1969, this Board passed and adopted Resolution No. 69/755 approving the formation of County Service Area P--2 , Alamo-Danville Area, for the purposes of providing extended police services in the said area. On January 1 , 1970, which was within 60 days after the adoption of said Resolution No. 69/765, this Board was presented with a petition signed by at least 10 percent of the registered voters residing within the county service area protesting against the adoption of the resolution establishing the county service area. This Board hereby suspends said Resolution No. 69f765 and declares that said resolution shall be submitted to the voters of the area in an election to be held. on ,Tune 2, 1970. Reso- lution No . 69/765 shall have no further effect unless and until a majority of votes cast at said election are cast in favor thereof. This Board hereby orders that the above named election: shall be consolidated with the statewide primary election called for the same date . PASSED AND ADOPTED on January 27, 1970, by this Board. P-2 The Beard of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election will be held in proposed County Service Area No. P-2 on Tuesday, June 2, 1970, as to whether County Service Area No . P-2 should be established to provide extended police protection service in the Alamo- Danville area. The territory of proposed County Service Area No. P-2 is described in Exhibit "All attached hereto and by reference incorporated herein. The proposition to be voted on shall be stated in sub- stantially the following terms : "Shall Resolution No. 69/765 adopted on November 18, 1969, by the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County establishing County Service Area P-2 to provide extended police protection services in the Alamo-Danville area be approved?'" The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to give notice of said election by publishing this notice pursuant to Govern- ment Code Section 6061 in the "Valley Pioneer" , a newspaper of general circulation in the area of proposed County Service Area No . P-2. Publication shall be complete at least ten days prior to June 2, 1970. The Clerk is further directed to cause .copies of this Resolution to be posted' in at least three public places in the proposed County Service Area at least ten days prior to June 2, 1970.
