RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ESTABLISH UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT
NO. 9
The Berard of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County has adopted
Ordinance No. 68-10 (Ord. C. 7801 at seq. ) which provides for the
establishment of Underground Utility Districts in those areas of the
County where the public health, safety, or welfare requires the
removal of the overhead distribution system from the public streets,
alleysor ways, and the replacement thereof with an underground
system.
It is the intention of this Board to conduct a public
hearing to' ascertain whether the public health, safety, or welfare
requires the removal of the overhead distribution system from the
public' streets , alleys or ways of the unincorporated area along
Clayton Road between Denki.nge►r Road and Bailey Road, and along
Bailey' Road, 500 feet northerly to Concord City, limits, as shown
on the attached map.
At 10:30 a.m. , on Tuesday, May 12, 1970, in the Chambers
of the Board of Supervisors , County Administration Building, Martinez,
California., this Board will conduct the said public hearing on the
proposed establishment of Underground Utility District No. 9 in the
area hereinabove described and at that time will hear the testimony
of all interested persons for or against the establishment of the
District and will determine if the public health, safety, or
welfare requires establishment of this zone and if the roads in
this area are extensively used by the general public and carry a
heavy volume of pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
The Clerk is directed to notify all affected property
owners and utilities by mail of the time and place of such hearing
at' least ten (10) days prior to the date thereof.
PASSED and ADOPTED on April 14, 1970 by this Board.
