of the Honorable George H. ) RESOLUTION NUMBER 70/185
Krueger , City Councilman, City }
of Concord, California.
WHEREAS the Honorable George H. Krueger was elected to the
Council of the City of Concord, California in April, 1950 and; has
continued to serve in that capacity over a period of two decades up
to the present time; and
WHEREAS Councilman Krueger served. as Mayor of the City of
Concord from. 1955 to 1958 and. from 1962 to 1964; and.
WHEREAS Mr. Krueger has participatedactively in the devel-
opment of the City of Concord., which during his tenure as City
Councilman has grown from a small community with a population of
6,000 to become a thriving city with a population of approximately
94,000 and the Largest city in the County or Contra Costa; and
WHEREAS Mr. Krueger over the years has respondedto the
increasing complexity of city government operations resulting from
municipal growth by accepting greater and greater responsibilities
and devoting more and more time and effort to city affairs even
though his municipal service involved considerable personal sacrifice;
and.
WHEREAS Mr. Krueger is held. in high esteem by city and.
county officials within Contra Costa County and throughout the state
and by the general public for his cooperative approach to problems
and willingness to be continuously available to render assistance;
and.
WHEREAS Mr. Krueger has determined. that he will not seek
re-election as City Councilman in the City of Concord;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA, CALIFORNIA RESOLVED that it extends to
Councilman George H. Krueger its sincere compliments on his out-
standing performance as Councilman and. Mayor of the City of Concord,
expresses its deep appreciation to him for his twenty years of
dedicated and. distinguished service to his city andhis county, and
wishes for him a long and. successful and enjoyable career in private
life .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 31st day of March, 1974, by the
following vote of the Board.:

J. E. Moriarty, E. A. Linscheid.,
T. J. Coll.
