HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 06032003 - 70-183 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA: In the Matter of ;indorsing 7O 1 Senate Bill Number 7 3 RESOLUTION � 3 Puking Criminalists Eligible for Safety Retirement. WHEREAS Senate Bill Number 57 has been introduced in the 1970 session of the California State Legislature by Senator John A. Nejedly; and WHERE,AS said Bill provides that sheriff 's criminalists may be included within the classification of "safety member" under the County Employees Retirement Law of 1937 by resolution approval of boards of supervisors; and. WHEREAS criminalists are a vital and integral component of sheriff 's law enforcement agencies and as such entitled to be eligible for safety retirement in the same manner as other law enforcement personnel; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of THE COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA. RESOLVED that it strongly endorses Senate Bill Number 57 and urges approval of said Bill by the 1970 session of the California State Legislature; and BE IT BY THE BOARD FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution, be transmitted to the Centra Costa County Representatives in the California State Legislature with the request that they work vigorously in support of this legislation PASSED AND ADOPTED this 31st day of March 1770 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors J. P. Kenny, A. N. Dias, J. F. Moriarty, E. A. Lins dseid, T. J. Coll. NOES: None.. ABSENT. : None. RESOLUTION N MER 70/183
