District of Centra Costa County with the Direct Primary Election to be held } June'' 2, 197 } WHEREAS, the Governing Board of San Ramon Valley Unified School,' District (hereinafter called the "district") has called and ordered to be held in the district on Tuesday, 'June 2, 1970 a special school district "bondelection and apportionment authorization election and has requested>.' the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County to consent to and the County >Superintendent of Schools of Contra Costa, County to order a consolidation of said special school district bond election and apportionment authorization election with the Direct Primary 'lectlon to behold In Contra Costa County and throughout the State of Cali.forni.a, on Tuesday, June 2, 1970 and has further autho- rized this Board of.:: Supervisors scars to canvass or cause 'to be canvassed the returns of said special school district bond election and apportionment authorization election from the territory affected by said consolidation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County as follows: 1 . The special school district bend election and apportionment authorization' election to be held in San Raman Valley Unified School District on Tuesday, June 2, 1.970 at which election 'there shall be submitted to the qualified' electors ofsaid district the measures hereinafter set forth, to wit ; RESOLUTION 90. 70/146 PROPOSITION -NO. 1 Shall. the San Raloon Valley Unified School District of Contra Crista County incur a bounded indebtedness in the sum of Eight Million, Three Hundred Thousand DDI ars 3'00,000) 9k the maximum rate of interest not to exctsd for the purpose of raising money, for the followingP4 poses (which are heb united and 'shall be voted upon as one single ;proposition) to wit. 1 The purchasing of school lots. 2 The bui,ldi.ng or purchasing of school buildings. 3 The making; of alterati.ons or additions to the school building or buildings ether than such as may be necessary for current maintenance, operation, or repairs. 4. The repairing, restoring or rebuilding of any school building dams$:ed, i nJured, or destroyed by fire or other public calamity . 5 The supplying of school buildings and grounds with furniture, ;equipment or necessary apparatus of a Jpermanent nature, 6. The permanent improvement of the school 'grounds. 7' The refundinofanyoutstandingvalid indebtedness of the district, evidenced by bonds,; or of state ischool building aid leans.' 80 The carrying out of the pro ects or purposes' su.tho- rized in Section 15811 of the Education Code, to wit , providing sewers and drains adequate' to treat and dispose of sewage and drainage on or a;wa. r om each school property. 9 The purchase of. school !'bused the useful life of which is at least twenty (201), ypars. ltd. The returns of said special school district 'bond election and apportionment authorization election from said territory affected by said consolidation shall be canvassed by the Board of Supervisors of Centra Costa' County in accordance' with the request ' of the Caverning Board of the district and said ' consvlidated" speci:al 'school bond election and, apportionment authori.zatibn eleeti.on and Direct Primary Election shall be held within said territory affected by said consolidation in all .respects as though there were only one 'election. Said measures shall be set forth In each farm of ballot to be used at said '.Direct Primary Election insofar as the same is held within said territory affected by said consolidation. The returns of said special school district bond election and apportionment authorization election in said territory, when canvassed., shall be reported lay this Board of Supervisors to the Governing Board of the 'districtand to said County Superintendent of 'Schools. 3. The County Clerk of said County is hereby ordered and directed to provide within said territory affected by said consolidation' the election precincts, polling places and voting booths for each of said elections hereby consolidated'„ which In each ease shall be the same`, and there shall be only one 'set of election officers in each of said'> precincts. Said Count; Clerk is further ordered and directed to print upon each of the ballots to be used at said Direct Primary Election' within ,said territory affected by, said consolidation said measures set forth in Section 1 of this resolution Said County Clerk is further ordered and directed (l) to set' forth on all sample ballots relating to said 'r Direct Primary Election and to be mailed to the qualified electors of the district within said territory affected by said consolidation said district measures , and to mail to said qual- ified electors of the district in said territory said sample ballots and also pollln <place cards signed by said County Clerk relating to said special' school district bond selection and`, apportionment authow rization election in the time and in the farm required by law, and ( ) to provide absent voter ballots for said Direct Primary' Election and said special school district bond eleetion. and apportionment authorization election hereby consolidated therewith for use by the qualified electors of the district within said territory affected by said consolidation who may be entitled to such absent voter ballots in the manner provided by law.
