CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of Declaring the Week )
of May 6, 1996, as CONTRA COSTA ) RESOLUTION NO. .96/190
COUNTY TOURISM WEEK )
WHEREAS, the tourism industry is extremely important to the communities of Contra Costa
County, contributing to its employment opportunity, economic prosperity, and international trade
and understanding; and
WHEREAS, each of us benefits from the effects of tourism as it substantially enhances our
personal growth and education; and
WHEREAS, tourism promotes intercultural understanding and appreciation of the geography,
history, and people of Contra Costa County; and
WHEREAS, the significance of the tourism industry in Contra Costa deserves to be recognized
for its economic and cultural contributions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors declares the week of May
6, 19K as CONTRA COSTA COUNTY TOURISM WEEK.
PASSED AND ADOPTED ON May 7, 1996, by a unanimous vote of the Board members present.
