AND FAMILY SERVICES PROVIDERS' ] RESOLUTION NO. 96/127
DAY CONTRA COSTA COUNTY ]
On April 18, 1996, the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Contra Costa County will hold their
annual conference for the providers of children's and family services. This conference is the
Council's way to honor service providers by presenting an afternoon of recognition and
inspiration.
The need for child care is rapidly increasing; however, resources have become limited and the
need for coordination and provision of services continues to increase. The people and
agencies that provide Children's and Family Services have to face many demands and
hardships, but because of their genuine compassion to help others, they have continued with
their profession. We are all fortunate to be able to benefit from their commitment to children
and families.
Contra Costa County acknowledges the dedication and hard work of many individuals and
agencies working in the field of Children's and Family Services and appreciates their continuing
commitment to provide essential child abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment, as well
as supportive family services,in communities throughout our county.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors declares April 18, 1996,
as CHILDREN'S AND FAMILY SERVICES PROVIDERS' DAY in Contra Costa County.
