HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 04231996 - 96-180 i oix IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of the ) 1996 County Charity Drive ) RESOLUTION NO. 96/180 } WHEREAS the United Way of the Bay Area, Combined Health Appeal of California, The Progressive Way, Earth Share of California, and Local Independent Charities of the Bay Area, will soon begin their 1996 fund raising campaigns; and WHEREAS these organizations provide vitally needed community services designed to ease human suffering, improve personal health and protect our environment; and WHEREAS this Board endorses a single fund raising drive among County employees to allow them the opportunity to donate to these charitable organizations; NOW,THEREFOR, BE IT BY THIS BOARD RESOLVED that Harvey E. Bragdon, Community Development Director, is designated as Chairperson, and Steven Steinbrecher, Director of Data Processing Services, as Co- . Chairperson, for the 1996 Charity Drive Campaign among County employees; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Jeff Smith, Chair, Board of Supervisors, is designated to serve as Honorary Chairperson for the campaign; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all County employees are urged to donate, within their means, to the County Charity Drive to help support the worthwhile programs administered by the participating organizations.
