Adopted this Order of March 19, 1996 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Rogers, Bishop, DeSaulnier, Torlakson, Smith

RESOLUTION NO. 96/111
SUBJECT: Approving Plans and Specifications for
Livorna Park, Livorna Road and Miranda Avenue, Alamo, for
County Service Area R7-A.

WHEREAS the Board rejected bids for Livorna Park, Livorna Road and Miranda Avenue, Alamo, for
County Service Area R7-A on October 10, 1995 and directed the Director of General Services to revise bid
documents as necessary for rebidding the project and to present the revised documents to the Board for
approval; and
WHEREAS the bid documents for Livorna Park, Livorna Road and Miranda Avenue, Alamo, for County
Service Area R7-A have been revised as directed by the Board; and
WHEREAS plans and specifications for Livorna Park, Livorna Road and Miranda Avenue, Alamo, for
County Service Area R7-A have been filed with the Board this day by the Director of General Services; and
WHEREAS plans and specifications were prepared by Site Development Consultants; and
WHEREAS the Consultant's cost estimate for the initial construction contract is $840,000.00, base bid;
and
WHEREAS the Board has obtained the general prevailing rates of wages, which shall be the minimum rates
paid on this project; and
WHEREAS the Board has previously found the environmental review adequate and complete for this
project under the Final Environmental Impact Report ("FEIR") for the Alamo Estates Subdivision Project (State
Clearinghouse No. 91033039), which was approved by the Board On August 5, 1992, and Addendum No. 2 to
the FEIR which was approved by the Board on March 15, 1994, and the Director of Community Development
has filed a Notice of Determination with the County Clerk;
IT IS BY THE BOARD RESOLVED that said plans and specifications are hereby APPROVED. Bids
for this work will be received on April 18, 1996 at 2:00 p.m., and the Clerk of this Board is directed to publish a
Notice to Contractors in accordance with Section 22037 of the Public Contract Code, inviting bids for said
work, said Notice to be published in Contra Costa T;mPG . The Director of
General Services is directed to mail notices to the construction trade journals specified in Section 22036 of the
Public Contract Code at least 30 days before the date of opening the bids; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of General Services, or his designee, is AUTHORIZED
to issue bid Addenda, as needed, for clarification of the contract bid documents, provided the involved changes
are consistent with the established project budget and do not increase its cost.
