HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 02061996 - 96-40 ` THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Resolution on February 6, 1996, by the following vote: AYES: SUPERVISORS ROGERS, BISHOP, DESAULNIER, TORLAKSON, SMITH NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE RESOLUTION NO. 96/ 40 Government Code § 25526.6 SUBJECT: Conveyance of Easement to Pacific Gas & Electric Company GSD Service Center -Waterbird Way Project No. WH 380 A Martinez Area The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: Contra Costa County acquired certain real property by deed recorded on July 27, 1972, in Book 6709 at page 811, in the Martinez area, for the construction of a corporation yard. The Pacific Gas & Electric Company has requested an easement over a portion of said property, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for the installation of electric and gas service. This Board FINDS that the conveyance of such easement is in the public interest and will not substantially conflict or interfere with the County's use of the property. This Board hereby APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the conveyance of an easement to Pacific Gas & Electric Company, over the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.6 and the Board Chair is hereby AUTHORIZED to execute an Easement Agreement on behalf of the County. Said facilities shall consist of: Such underground conduits, pipes, manholes, service boxes, wires, cables, and electrical conductors; aboveground marker posts, risers, and service pedestals; underground and aboveground switches, fuses, terminals, and transformers with associated concrete pads; and fixtures and appurtenances necessary to any and all thereof, as second party deems necessary for the distribution of electric energy and for communication purposes; and one or more underground pipes with suitable service pipes and connections, as second party deems necessary for the conveyance of gas; all to be located within the strip of land described as follows: A strip of land of the uniform width of 10 feet extending easterly from the westerly boundary line of said lands, and lying 5 feet on each side of the line described as follows: Commencing at the northwesterly comer of said lands and running thence along said westerly boundary line (a) south 01'06'18" west 4 1.0 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING of said line;thence leaving said westerly boundary line (1) south 88°53.7'east 298.8 feet; thence (2)south 75°24.8' east 3 0.0 feet to a point within the boundary lines of said lands.
