THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on June 27. 1995 by the following vote:

Adjustment of Compensation for )
Volunteers in Bethel Island and )
Crockett-Carquinez Fire Districts ) Resolution No. 95/ 302
Effective January 1 , 1988, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 88/75 which
established continuing policy for review and adjustment of pay rates for volunteer
employees in the various County Volunteer Fire Districts; and
The County Administrator has recommended adoption of requests from the Bethel Island
and Crockett-Carquinez Volunteer Fire Districts that cost-of-living adjustments be made in
the hourly rate paid volunteers for response and training assignments of $1 .00 per hour
and has noted that the last increase was July 1990; and
The Board of Supervisors having thoroughly considered this request; NOW THEREFORE,
The Contra Costa Board of Supervisors in its capacity as governing Board of the County of
Contra Costa and all districts of where it is the ex-officio governing Board; RESOLVES THAT:
The following rates of pay are established for all non.full-time (volunteer) employees in the
Bethel Island and Crockett-Carquinez Volunteer Fire Districts effective June 1 , 1995:
Bethel Island Rate Per Hour
Captain $11 .00
Engineer $10.00
Firefighter $ 9.00
Probationary Firefighter $ 8.00
Volunteer Fire Captains shall continue to be eligible for monthly compensation in the
amount of$80.00 for performance of on-going operational, training or maintenance
assignments designated at the discretion of the Fire Chief.
Crockett-Carquinez Rate Per Hour
Firefighter $ 9.00
