HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 03281995 - 95-136 1 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA In the Matter of ) Commending Aulene Joseph ) RESOLUTION NO. 95/136 on the Occasion of ) Her Retirement ) Whereas Aulene Joseph joined the Contra Costa County workforce on August 24, 1971, as a Public Assistance Unit Clerk in the Social Service Department; and Whereas Aulene brought a wide range of diversified experience and knowledge to her new job because of her past employment both as a legal secretary and as an executive secretary; and Whereas on March 23, 1972, Aulene Joseph accepted the position in the Office of the Clerk of the Board as Assistant Clerk-Board of Supervisors; and Whereas Aulene performed her assignments with profession- alism and dedication to excellence that earned her the respect of all who came in contact with her; and Whereas Aulene has seen as well as participated in many of the changes that occurred during her employment with Contra , Costa County; and Whereas Aulene is an active member in the Sons of Norway Organization, having held many offices both at the local and district level, and is currently serving her second term as secretary on the International Board; and Whereas Aulene has an avid interest in camping, Rosemaling painting, gardening, and stitchery; and Whereas after over 23 years of County service, Aulene decided to embark on a new career called "retirement"; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa COMMENDS Aulene Joseph for the service she has provided to Contra Costa County during her tenure of employment. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors EXTENDS its best wishes to Aulene that she may enjoy happiness, health, and prosperity in the golden years ahead.
