Adcock on the Occasion of his Retirement from the Ambrose Recreation and Park District Board of Directors 70'WMIZ5,tfs, William M. Adcock was first elected to the Board of Directors of the Ambrose Recreation and Park District in 1955 and has served continously since that time; he is believed to have served longer than any other elected official in the State of California; and 70OWMIZ5,45, William M. Adcock served on the committee which created the East Bay Regional Park District's Master Plan; and 76WIT5,45, William M. Adcock served as a member of the Board of Directors of the California Association of Recreation and Park Districts for many years, lending his expertise in park management to districts throughout the State of California; and WtWE 5,45, William M. Adcock is a charter member of the Ambrose lions Club which has and continues to provide support for sight and hearing impaired persons; at the some time he has actively participated in community improvement projects; and 761PER5,45, William M. Adcock was an active participant in the creation of a self-insured insurance program for recreation and park districts throughout the State of California, of which there are more than 60 participating districts; and 76WR5,45, William M. Adcock contributed to the planning and completion of Pacifica Park, Anuta Park and the Ambrose Community Center; 114W, WEREVORS, WE 97 that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County hereby commends William M.
