In the matter of Recognizing )
California Art Scholars ) RESOLUTION NO. 91 / 310
WHEREAS, the California State Summer School for the Arts has selected eight Contra Costa high school students as
California Art Scholars;and
WHEREAS, this School is-a pre-professional training program established six years ago by the State Legislature for
California high school students aspiring to careers in the arts and entertainment industries;and
WHEREAS,the Contra Costa County Scholars were among 400 recipients selected from a group of more than 750 high
school applicants throughout the state;and
WHEREAS,the following are the 1991 California Art Scholars;
Jon Airaudi Danville San Ramon High School
Zay Amsbury Richmond Arrowsmith High School
Tami Gonzales Danville San Ramon High School
Lisa Lacuesta San Ramon San Ramon High School
Jenny Lewis Oakley Liberty High School
Kim Marschner Moraga College Preparatory School
Sean McArdle Berkeley North Bay Orinda High School
Quincy Tatum Martinez College Park High School
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY,CALIFORNIA
RESOLVED that these young artists are RECOGNIZED for their accomplishments and for being named as "California
Art Scholars."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that May 21, 1991 be designated as"Arts Recognition Day."
PASSED by unanimous vote of the Board members present on this 21st day of May,1991.
