HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 06061989 - RA 89-8 THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on June 6, 1989 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors /Commissioners Powers, Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor/Commissioner Fanden ABSTAIN: None -------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution No. RA 89-8 SUBJECT: Approval of Purchase Agreement and Promissory Note with Stephen Long and Candace E. Williams for the sale of 500 square feet of land in the North Richmond Redevelopment Project Area, authorization for the Executive Director or his designee to execute the Purchase Agreement, Grant Deed and Promissory Note, and accept Deed of Trust. It is the intent of the Agency to sell 500 square feet of land in the North Richmond Redevelopment Project Area to Stephen Long and Candace E. Williams ( "Buyers" ) , the owners of the adjacent property. The purpose of the sale is: 1. To allow Buyers to maintain paved access to their improvements. 2. To allow Buyers to maintain a sideyard setback of at least 3 feet for their accessory building at the rear of the property. / 3 . To allow the Agency to move ahead with its affordable housing project without incurring the cost of removal of Buyer' s improvements. In accordance with California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33433 ) , the Agency has ' prepared a Summary Report which is attached hereto as Attachment One. The Summary Report has been available for public inspection and the Agency held a duly noticed Public Hearing to consider this sale. The Agency finds that this sale is in the best interest of the Agency and the sales price to Buyer is not less than the fair market value as determined by the Agency' s prior purchase of the subject land. Therefore the Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency resolves that: The sale of 500 square feet of land in the North Richmond Redevelopment Project Area to Stephen Long and Candace E.
