Specific Request(s) or Recommendation(s) & Background &
Justification
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPROVE the Plans and' Specifications for the Marsh Creek Road
Slide Repair Project and ADVERTISE for bids to be received on
Thursday, July 20, 1989 , at 2 : 00 p.m.
DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to publish the Notice to
Contractors in accordance with Section 20392 of the Public
Contract Code, and
DIRECT the Director of Community Development to file a Notice of
Exemption with the County Clerk.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The estimated contract cost of the project is $258 , 755 . It is to
be funded by the Federal Highway Administration (100%) .

Marsh Creek Road Slide Repair
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Director has filed with the Board of Supervisors
the Plans and Specifications for the Marsh Creek Road Slide
Repair Project.
The general prevailing rates of wages, which shall be the minimum
rates paid on this project, have been filed with the Clerk of the
Board and copies will be made available to any interested party
upon request.
The project has been determined to be in compliance with the
General Plan. It has been determined that this project is
exempt from CEQA requirements as a Declared Emergency Project--
Statutory Exemption . The Board hereby concurs in said
determination.
