HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 04251989 - 89-249 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA IN THE MATTER OF ) Proclaiming May 6, 1989 as ) "National Nurses' Day ) RESOLUTION N0.89./249 WHEREAS, registered nurses are a vital link in the health care system, delivering cost-efficient, preventative and compre- hensive health care to millions of Americans each year; and WHEREAS, registered nurses coordinate patient care through assessment, diagnosis and intervention, providing emotional support, and Counseling to patients and their family members; and WHEREAS, there are more registered nurses in practice now in the United States than ever before, and a growing demand for these highly-skilled professionals. NOW, EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County salutes John Muir Medical Center' s regis- tered nurses on NATIONAL NURSES' DAY MAY 6, 1989 and urges young people and professionals to take advantage of all of the opportunities that nursing offers as an intellectually, emotionally and financially rewarding career. PASSED AND ADOPTED by unanimous vote of the Board members present on this 25th day of April, 1989.
