HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 03071989 - 89-156 File: 280-8801(F) /B. 4. 1 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS 1-055 CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA AS EX OFFICIO THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CONTRA COSTA COUN'T'Y FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT Adopted this Order of March 7, 1989, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers , Fanden, Schroder, McPeak & Torlakson NOES: None ABSENT: None RESOLUTION NO. 89/156 SUBJECT: Approving the Final EIR and Plans and Specifications for Fire Station No. 7 , 1050 Walnut Avenue, Walnut Creek Budget Line Item No. 7100-4882 Authorization No. 0928-WH882B WHEREAS Plans and Specifications for Fire Station No. 7 , 1050 Walnut Avenue, Walnut Creek, have been filed with the Board this day by the Director of General Services; and WHEREAS Plans and Specifications were prepared by Jerry Loving, Architect & Associates, Inc. ; and WHEREAS the Consultant ' s cost estimate for the initial construction contract is $632 , 000 . 00 ; and WHEREAS the Board has obtained the general prevailing rates of wages, which shall be the minimum rates paid on this project; and WHEREAS the project has been determined to conform with the General Plan; and WHEREAS the Board finds that the final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) has been completed in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 and State and County Guidelines; and WHEREAS the Board having reviewed and considered the information contained in the final EIR finds that it is an adequate basis for making a decision on the project; and WHEREAS the Board finds that the County Planning Commission, in its capacity as the County' s hearing body for Environmental Impact Reports, according to adopted processing procedures, has prepared a written resolution certifying the final Environmental Impact Report and designated Resolution 68-1988 , attached hereto and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS the Board having studied the significant environmental effects of this project as described in the final EIR, concurs with the Planning Commission' s findings and the rationale for each finding set forth in the attached Planning Commission Resolution, and adopts said findings and rationale in connection with its approval of the Project; IT IS BY THE BOARD RESOLVED that the attached Resolution by the County Planning Commission, certifying that certain environmental documents constitute a final EIR and that such final EIR was completed in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the State Guidelines , and County processing procedures, is hereby approved; and Page 1 of 2 RESOLUTION NO . 89/156 File: 280-8$01 (F) /B. 4 . 1 Agenda Date: March '7, 1989 FURTHER, that the Director of Community Development is instructed to file a Notice of Determination on the EIR with the Office of Planning Research, the Contra Costa County Clerk, and the City of Walnut Creek; and FURTHER that said Plans and Specifications are hereby APPROVED. Bids for this work will be received on April 6, 1989 at 2 : 00 p.m. , , and the - Clerk of this Board is directed to publish a Notice t7?_ Contractors in accordance with Section 20813(b) of the Public Contract Code, inviting bids for said work, said Notice ' to be published in the Contra Costa Times I hereby cerfiiy that this is a true and co mi copy of an action taken end entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervi=rs on the date shown.
