Las Trampas Creek

Lafayette Area
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES
THAT:
Contra Costa County owns certain real property on Las
Trampas Creek in Lafayette, described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto. Said property is required by the Contra Costa County
Flood Control and Water Conservation District . for flood control
purposes.
This Board hereby FINDS that the property described in
Exhibit "A" is not required for County use. This Board hereby
APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the transfer of said property to the
Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District
and the Board Chair is hereby AUTHORIZED to execute a quitclaim
deed to the District on behalf of the County.
This activity is not subject to the California
Environmental Quality Act pursuant to Section 15061(b) (3) of
Chapter 3 of the CEQA Guidelines. It can be seen with certainty
that there is no possibility that the activity may have a
significant effect on the environment.
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause the
quitclaim deed to be delivered to the District.
I hereby certify that this Is a true and correct copy of
an action taken and entered on the minutes of the
Board of Supervisors on the date shown.

Beginning at the most easterly corner of Lot 17, as said lot is shown on the
map entitled "Lafayette Manor, Contra Costa County, California," filed.
November 12, 1936 in Volume 22 of Maps, page 635, records of Contra Costa
County, thence from said point of beginning along the easterly line of said
Lot 17, N. 140 23' W., 57.68 feet; thence leaving said line, N. 720 45' E.,
61.56 feet; thence S. 170 15' E., 18.50 feet; thence S. 20 4' E., 61.15
feet; thence S. 720 45' W., 49.43 feet to the easterly line of Lot 17,
thence along said line, N. 140 23' W. to the point of beginning. Being
that parcel of land described in the Quitclaim Deed fx Merle L. Daley, et
al, to Contra Costa County, recorded October 16, 1941 in -Book 633 at page
45, Official Records of Contra Costa County.

"Lafayette Manor, Contra Costa County, California," which map was filed in
the Office of the County Recorder of Contra Costa County on November 12,
1936 in Volume 22 of Maps, at page 635, et seq., described as follows:
Beginning at the most easterly corner of said Lot 17; thence along the
easterly boundary line. thereof, N. 140.23' W., 49.00 feet; thence, leaving
said line, S. 720 45' W., 47.50 feet; thence S. 130 50' W., 12.61 feet;
thence S. 340 30' E., 33.69 feet to a point on the southerly boundary line
of said Lot 17; thence, along said line, N. 800 55' E., 42.00 feet to the
point of beginning.

A portion of Lot 18, as said lot is delineated and so designated upon the
map entitled "Lafayette Manor, Contra Costa County, California," which map
was filed in the Office of the Recorder of Contra Costa County, November 12,

Beginning at the most northerly corner of said Lot 18; thence along the
dividing line between Dots 18 and 17, S. 800 55' W., 42.00 feet; thence
leaving said line, S. 170 15' E., 25.87 feet; thence N. 720 45' E., .40.57
feet to a point on the northeasterly boundary line of said Lot 18; thence
along said line, N. 140 23' W., 19.93 feet to the point of beginning.

JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
Accept Quitclaim Deed dated February 7, 1989 from Contra
Costa County.
DIRECT the Real Property Division to have the above
referenced deed recorded in the Office of the County Recor-
der.
II. Financial Impact:
None
III. Reasons for Recommendations:
The property being conveyed was acquired by the County for a
drop structure and access to Las Trampas Creek in Lafayette.
Since the District maintains the facility it is appropriate
that it also have title.
