HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 03311987 - 87-190 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Congratulating ) the Contra Costa Taxpayers ) Association on the Occasion of ) Resolution No. 87/ 190 its Fiftieth Anniversary ) 1937-1987) ) WHEREAS the Contra Costa Taxpayers Association continues its long-time role of representing the taxpayers of Contra Costa County before the Board of Supervisors; 18 City Councils; and numerous school and other special districts; and WHEREAS the Contra Costa Taxpayers Association represents its membership on the following County Committees: Hazardous Materials Commission, Advisory Committee on Funding County Services, Water Task Force, West County Justice Center Advisory Group and the GAIN Advisory Council; and WHEREAS a recent poll sponsored by the Bay Area council and the Field Research Corporation, indicates that 38 percent of Contra Costa residents consider transportation to be their top concern, the Association has expressed a willingness to participate in finding a solution to our transportation problems; and WHEREAS the 1987 Anniversary annual membership meeting of the Contra Costa Taxpayers Association will hold a luncheon at the Sheraton Inn on Thursday, April 23, 1987; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa extends congratulations and appreciation to the Contra Costa Taxpayers Association for their fifty years of service to Contra Costa County. PASSED AND ADOPTED on March 31, 1987, by the unanimous vote of the Board members present. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution entered in the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date aforesaid.
