SUBJECT: SB 878
WHEREAS Public Utilities Code Section 131020, as it is
proposed to be added by Senate Bill 878 of the 1985-1986 Regular
Session of the Legislature, requires the Board of Supervisors to
establish, by resolution, an expected schedule to be used for the
completion of the tasks leading to the adoption of a
transportation expenditure plan and placing a proposition on the
ballot calling for an election to determine whether the sales tax
should be increased by 1/2 cent to finance such an expenditure
.plan; and
WHEREAS such a schedule has been developed and approved by
the Contra Costa Transportation Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors finds the proposed schedule
acceptable;
NOW, .THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Contra Costa County
Board of ' Supervisors that the schedule which is attached to this
resolution and incorporated herein by reference is approved and
established pursuant to Section 131020 of the Public Utilities
Code.
