HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 03181986 - 86-123 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA In the Matter of: ) Commending the Contra Costa- ) Alameda Cattlemen' s Association. ) RESOLUTION NO. 86/123 WHEREAS the Contra Costa-Alameda Cattlemen' s Association was established at the turn of the century as the Stockman' s Association; and WHEREAS the Association is a member of a State as well as a National Cattlemen' s Association providing support to the cattle industry across the nation; and WHEREAS the 225-member-strong Contra Costa-Alameda Cattlemen' s Association aids cattle growers, an important segment of our community, with information and expertise in marketing, legislative support, representation on advisory boards and commissions reflecting cattle producers' interests, support of the Sheriff's Rural Crime Prevention Program, and providing for the general welfare of cattle ranchers; and WHEREAS the Association serves all of the citizens of our County through its educational role, including the environmental impact of cattle on our community, and through its support of the 4-H Program and Future Farmers of America; and WHEREAS National Agriculture Week has been designated as March 16 through March 22, 1986, and March 20, 1986 as Agriculture Day; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS that the Contra Costa-Alameda Cattlemen' s Association is COMMENDED for its service to the cattle growers in our County and to all our citizens. PASSED, by unanimous vote of the Board Members present on this 18th day of March, 1986.
