To this end, many Earthquake Preparedness efforts were undertaken in this county and statewide. The Bank of America authorized special funds to provide for the printing of 125,000 pamphlets "Family Disaster Plan and Personal Survival Guide", and donated the time of 60 volunteers to take a Red Cross Course in Safety & Survival in an Earthquake, then to, go to local elementary schools to make a brief presentation (with the county volunteers) and distribute the earthquake literature.
