RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ADOPT RESOLUTION OF NECESSITY
The Board of Supervisors as the Governing Body of Contra Costa County Flood
Control and Water Conservation District RESOLVES THAT:
It intends to adopt a Resolution of Necessity for the acquisition by eminent
domain of real property in the Pleasant Hill area, for the construction of a storm
drainage facility, a public improvement, which property is more particularly described
in Appendix "A" attached hereto.
This Board will meet on July 10, 1984 at 10:30 a.m. in the Board' s Chambers,
County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, to hear those
persons whose property is to be acquired and whose names and addresses appear on the
last equalized County assessment roll , and to consider the adoption of the Resolution.
The Contra Costa County Real Property Division is DIRECTED to send the following notice
to each such person by first-class mail :
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ADOPT RESOLUTION OF NECESSITY
The Board of Supervisors as the Governing Body of Contra Costa County Flood
Control and Water Conservation District declares its intention to adopt a Resolution
of Necessity .for the acquisition by eminent domain of real property in the Pleasant Hill area
for the construction of a storm drainage facility, a public improvement, which property
is more particularly described in Appendix "A" attached hereto. The Board will meet on
July 10, 1984 at 10:30 a.m. in the Board 's Chambers at 651 Pine Street, Martinez,
California, to consider the adoption of the Resolution. Each person whose proerty is
to be acquired and whose name and address appears on the last equalized County assess-
ment roll has the right to appear at such hearing and be heard on :
1. Whether the public interest and necessity require the project; and
2. Whether the project is planned and located in the manner that will
be the most compatible with the greatest public good and the least
private injury; and
3. Whether the property sought to be acquired is necessary for the
project; and
4. Whether the offer of just compensation required by Section 7267.2
of the Government Code has been made to the owner of record.

PARCEL ONE (R/W Parcel 1288)
A portion of Rancho Las Juntas being a portion of the parcel of land described
in the deed to Randall , Earle, and Craig, et al , recorded July 29, 1983,
in Book 11366 of Official Records at page 113, records of Contra Costa County,
California, described as follows:
Commencing at a 1-1/2 inch iron pipe monument tagged "L .S. 2305" marking
the northeast corner of Lot 65 as said lot is shown on the map of "Fair Oaks
Unit No. 1" filed February 20, 1950, in Book 39 of Maps at page 20, records
of said county; thence along the east line of said "Fair Oaks Unit No. 1" ,
(39 M 20) north 80 44' 41" east, 5.04 feet, (the bearing north 80 44' 41"
east used for purposes of this description) to a point on the south right
of way line of Lisa Lane; thence along said south line south 880 01' 54"
east, 50.28 feet to a point on the centerline of the said Randall , Earle .
and Craig, et al , parcel (11366 O.R. 113); thence south along the centerline
of said Randall , Earle and Craig, et al parcel (11366 OR 113) south 80 01'
41" west 637.97 feet to a point which shall hereinafter be referred to as

A temporary construction easement over a strip of land 30.00 feet in width,
lying 10 feet easterly and 20.00 feet westerly of the above described permanent
easement line lying between said Point "A" and said Point "B" in said Parcel
1288.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM all of said Parcel 1288 which lies within Parcel 1288T.
Said temporary construction easement to terminate upon completion of construction
or by December 31, 1985, whichever occurs first.
PARCEL THREE (R/W Parcel 1289)
A portion of Rancho Las Juntas, Contra Costa County, California, described
as follows:
Commencing at a nail and shiner located on the centerline of Hookston Road,
which bears north 10 12' 18" east, 33.77 feet from a one and one-quarter
inch iron pipe monument tagged "R.E. 6245" marking the northeast corner of
Lot 1 as said lot is shown on the map of Subdivision 3414, filed August 30,
1967 in Book 117 of maps at page 9, Records of said County; thence south
880 47' 42" east 162.54 feet along said centerline to a point which shall
hereinafter be referred to as Point "B", said nail and shiner being further
described as bearing north 880 47' 42" west 327.31 feet along the centerline
of Hookston Road from a one and one-half inch iron pipe monument at the angle
point intersection of Bancroft Road and Hookston Road, said Point "B" being
the point of beginning for the following described strip of land situated
over and through that parcel of land described in the deed to Samuel P.. Young,
et al., filed September 30, 1983 in Book 11466 of Official Records at page
231, Records of said county.
A permanent easement over a strip of land 14.00 feet in width lying 7.00
feet easterly of and 7.00 feet westerly of the following described line:
Beginning at said Point "B", thence south 100 51' 32" west 99.93 feet; thence
southerly along the arc of a tangent curve concave to the east, having a
radius of 200.00 feet, through a central angle of 20 0615111, a distance of
7.38 feet; thence south 80 44' 41" west, 611.50 feet; thence southerly along

the arc of a tangent curve concave to the west, having a radius of 200.00
feet, through a central angle of 140 26' 1611, a distance of 50.40 feet; thence
south 230 10' 57" west 41.58 feet; thence southerly along the arc of tangent
curve concave to the east, having a radius of 200.00 feet, through a central
angle of 140 26' 16", a distance of 50.40 feet; thence south 80 44' 41" west,
518.62 feet, thence south 80 44' 34" west 13.88 feet, to a point on the centerline
of Mayhew Way the southerly terminus of Parcel 1289, said point shall hereinafter
be referred to as Point "C", said Point "C" being further described as bearing
south 410 53' 56" east, 38.09 feet, from the 2-inch iron pipe monument tagged
R.E. 7595" marking the southeast corner of Lot 10 as said lot is shown on
the map of Subdivision 3414, filed on August 30, 1967 in Book 117 of maps
at page 9, records of said County, said monument bearing south 80 42' 40"
east, 247.00 feet from the 2-inch iron pipe monument marking northeast corner

PARCEL FOUR (R/W Parcel 1289T)
A temporary construction easement over a strip of land 30.00 feet in width,
lying 20.00 feet easterly and 10.00 feet westerly of the above described
permanent easement line lying between said Point "B" and said Point "C",in
Parcel 1289.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM all of said Parcel 1289 which. lies within Parcel 1289T.
Said temporary construction easement to terminate upon completion of construction
or by December 31, 1985, whichever occurs first.
PARCEL FIVE (R/W Parcel 1290)
A portion of Rancho Las Juntas, Contra Costa County, California, described
as follows:
Commencing at the 2-inch iron pipe monument tagged "R.E. 7595" marking the
southeast corner of Lot 10 which bears south 80 42' 40" east 247.00 feet
from the 2-inch iron pipe monument marking the northeast corner of Lot 10
as said lot is shown on the map of Subdivision 3414 filed on August 30, 1967
in Book 117 of maps at page 9 Records of said county, thence from said point
of commencement south 410 55' 56" east 38.09 feet to a point on the centerline
of Mayhew Way, . said point shall hereinafter be referred to as Point "C",
said point also being a point on the northern boundary of that parcel deeded
to Southern Pacific Railroad on June 10, 1891, filed in Book 60 of deeds
at page 122, Records of Said County.
A permanent easement over a strip of land through said Southern Pacific Parcel
(60 D 122) and that parcel of land deeded to Southern Pacific Railroad on
June 10, 1891, filed in Book 60 of deeds at page 110 Records of said county,
said strip being 14.00 feet in width, lying 7.00 feet easterly and 7.00 feet
westerly of the following described line:
Beginning at said Point "C, " thence south 80 44134" west 2429.50 feet to
a point in Las Juntas Way being distant south 810 15' 26" east 11.20 feet
from county survey point "OR-4A".

A temporary construction easement over a strip of land 30.00 feet in width,
lying 20.00 feet easterly and 31.00 feet westerly of the above described
permanent easement line lying between said Point "C" and said survey point
"OR-4A".
EXCEPTING THEREFROM all of the above Parcel 1290 lying within said parcel
1290T.
Said temporary construction easement to terminate upon completion of construction
or by December 31, 1985, whichever occurs first.
