The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES that :
1 . Background . On April 30, 1984, the Retirement Board of
the Contra Costa County Employees Retirement Association voted to
transfer the sum of $486, 794 from excess surplus to .the County to
provide supplemental increases for one year only (April 1 , 1984 to
. March 30 , 1985) to eligible retirees and their beneficiaries in
the amount of $1 . 25 per month for each full year of County ser-
vice .
2 . Before implementing Government Code 531681 . 8 , it is
necessary that the County authorize and receive an actuarial
report advising that benefits payable pursuant thereto will be
fully funded.
3. Coates , Her.furth and England is authorized to make an
actuarial determination for the County of Contra Costa and this
Board of Supervisors as to whether the benefits to eligible
retirees and their beneficiaries in the amount of $1 . 25 per month
for each full year of county service will be fully funded by the
sum of $486, 794 which the Retirement Board has agreed to transfer
from surplus for this purpose for the period April 1 , 1984 through
March 30 , 1985 .
