In the Matter of Acquisition
and Exchange of Helena Avenue Property
Project No. 0662-6U4244
Martinez Area
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, RESOLVES THAT:
The County property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto is no longer
required for public purposes; and,
A portion of real property owned. by Shell Oil Company, Incorporated,
described as Exhibit "B", adjacent to said County-owned property, is required
for a County road.
The County Principal Real Property Agent reports that the value of the
portion of the County property no longer needed is $1,000.00 plus the value
of the portion of Shell Oil Company, Incorporated property which is required
for use by the County, and this Board so FINDS and hereby APPROVES an exchange
of said excess property for the acquisition of the property rights needed from
Shell Oil Company, Incorporated plus payment of $1,000.00 which has been received
in full .
The Right of Way Contract with Shell Oil Company, Incorporated, dated
April 19, 1984, is APPROVED and the Public Works Director is AUTHORIZED to sign
said Contract on behalf of the County.
The Chairman of this Board is AUTHORIZED to execute a Quitclaim Deed,
on behalf of the County, conveying the real property described as in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, to Shell Oil Company, Incorporated.
The Grant Deed from Shell Oil Company, Incorporated, dated April 19,
1984 is hereby ACCEPTED and the Real Property Division is DIRECTED to have said
document recorded in the Office of the County Recorder.
Be it further RESOLVED that a certified copy of this resolution be filed
in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Contra Costa.

Beginning at the southwest corner of Helena Avenue with its intersection
with Donald Avenue (59 LSM 38) also being the northeast corner Lot 10, Block 1,
as shown on the map entitled "Martinez Eddy Tract" recorded September 7,
1916, in Book 15 of Maps at page 313, records of said County; thence along

westerly along the arc of a tangent curve, concave to the southeast, having

COMPANY, a Delaware corporation with offices at One Shell Plaza in
Houston, Texas 77001 (herein called "Grantor"), to CONTRA COSTA COUNTY,
a Political Subdivision of the State of California, with offices at
255 Glacier Drive in Martinez, California 94553 (herein called
"Grantee").
GRANTOR, for valuable consideration received, hereby grants to
Grantee the following described premises located in the unincorporated
County of Contra Costa, State of California:
A portion of Rancho Las Juntas, Contra Costa County,
California, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most northerly corner of Lot 9,
Block 7 as shown on the map entitled "Amended Map of
Alhambra Heights Addition to Martinez" filed June 18,
1912, in Book 7 of Maps at page 165, records of said
County, also being on the southeasterly line of the
parcel of land described in the deed to Contra Costa
County, recorded in Book 664 of Official Records at
