HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES - 03191996 - 96-7 ORDINANCE NO. 96- 7 (County Auditor Qualifications) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows (omitting the parenthetical footnotes from the official text from the enacted or amended provisions of the County Ordinance Code). . SECTION I. Section 24-8.002 of the Contra Costa County Ordinance Code is amended, to continue the adoption of the provisions of Article 4 (commencing with Section 26945) of Chapter 4 of the Government Code, to read as follows: 24-8.002 Qualifications. No person shall hereafter be elected or appointed to the office of county auditor-controller unless the person meets at least one of the criteria specified in Government Code section 26945. (Ords. 96- 7, 1188: prior code § 2140.) SECTION II. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance becomes effective 30 days after passage, and within 15 days of passage shall be published once with the names of supervisors voting for and against it in the CONTRA COSTA TIMES a newspaper published in this County.
