HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES - 04161991 - 91-23 ORDINANCE NO. 91-23 (Cable Television License Fee) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows (omitting the parenthetical footnotes from the official text of the enacted or amended provisions of the County Ordinance Code) : SECTION I . SUMMARY: This ordinance increases the license fee payable by the holders of cable television licenses issued prior to the effective date of Ordinance No. 82-28 (June 3, 1982 ) . SECTION II . Ordinance No. 85-70 is repealed. Such repeal shall not affect license fees payable for the period up to the date of fee increase and shall not affect Resolution No. 85/649, which shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION III . The license fee payable by each licensee subject to Section III of Ordinance No. 82-28 shall be a sum equal to five percent (511 of the gross annual receipts of the licensee. (Ords . 91- 3 §3, 85-70 §2, 82-28 §3, 78-73 §1, 1980 §2: prior code 5§6405 and 6416 . ) SECTION IV. APPLICABILITY. This ordinance shall apply to all licenses granted prior to June 3, 1982 . To provide additional time for each affected licensee to notify its customers, the fee set forth in Section III shall apply to gross receipts from signals or service rendered on or after July 1, 1991 . SECTION V. EFFECTIVE DATE. , This ordinance becomes effective 30 days after passage, and within 15 days after passage this ordinance shall be published once with the names of supervisors voting for and against it in the Contra .Costa Times , a newspaper published in this County.
