HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES - 07181989 - 89-47 WIT ORDINANCE NO. 89-47 (Authorization of Antioch Redevelopment Area) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows: SECTION I. SUMMARY. This ordinance authorizes the redevelopment of an area located within Contra Costa County which is contiguous to the City of Antioch by the Antioch Development Agency. SECTION II. FINDINGS. The Board of Supervisors makes the following findings: 1. Health & Safety Code Sec. 33213 permits a legislative body to authorize the redevelopment of an area within its territorial limits by another community if such area is contiguous to such other community. 2. The City of Antioch and the Antioch Development Agency desire to undertake redevelopment within their Redevelopment Project 4, partially located within the City of Antioch and partially located within Contra Costa County. 3. In conjunction with the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project 4, the Antioch Development Agency agrees to limit its receipt of tax increment revenues by passing through 100% of the county property tax revenues for Contra Costa County, (including the County Library District) the Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District and the Riverview Fire Protection District. SECTION III. AUTHORIZATION. The Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the redevelopment of the area within the Antioch Development Agency Redevelopment Project 4 which is located within the territorial limits of Contra Costa County by the Antioch Development Agency. SECTION IV. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance becomes effective 30 days after passage and within 15 days after passage shall be published once, with the names of the supervisors voting for and against it, in the Contra Costa Times, a newspaper published in this County. Section III. of this ordinance shall not become operative unless and until the Antioch Development enters into a tax increment agreement with the public entities listed above.
