ABSENT: ABSTAIN: fj� ,( ATTESTED !���`-C JOHN CULLEN,CLERK OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AND COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR Contact Person: CC: WENDY THERRIAN EHSD CONTRACTS UNIT-EB COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR AUDITOR-CONTROLLER CONTRACTOR BY: ® Page Two Metropolitan Transportation Commission funding for the Children's Transportation Project CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: This contract supports all five of the community outcomes established in the Children's Report Card: 1) "Children Ready for and Succeeding in School"; 2) "Children and Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive Adulthood"; 3) "Families that are Economically Self Sufficient"; 4) "Families that are Safe, Stable and Nurturing"; and 5) "Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families," by providing funding to assist in providing transportation to CalWORKs participants for their children for the purpose of education and child care availability. BACKGROUND: The Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) operates the Children's Transportation Project, a children's shuttle program that provides free transportation to and from school and daycare for children of CaIWORKs participants. This grant amendment to extend the grant term enables EHSD to continue providing services through June 30, 2009.
