FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval,this action will result in an annual cost of$15,980.20 and will be offset by fee revenue and Vital Registration Improvement Project funds. BACKGROUND: Health Services is requesting to reallocate salary level of the Registrar of Vital Statistics classification in order to recruit candidates and retain employees. Position is currently vacant due to a recent retirement. Human Resources conducted survey of the nine designated Bay Area Counties for comparable classifications, job responsibilities and salary information. The department concurs with Health Services to reallocate salary level and revise job specifications to fully reflect all current aspects of the responsibilities associated with this position.
