SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. RECOGIZE and ACCEPT the resignation of EI Sobrante Municipal-Advisory
Council member Susan Swift who was serving a term ending December 31, 2008.
2. DECLARE vacant the Appointed Seat 4, which was formerly held by Susan Swift
for term ending December 31, 2008.
BACKGROUND
Susan Swift was appointed to her seat on the EI Sobrante Municipal Advisory Council in
November of 2006.

Supervisor Gioia,
I am writing today to affirm my announcement to you in January of this year,which is that I am
retiring from the El Sobra.nte Municipal Advisory Council as of July 1,2008. My final meeting
as a member of the El Sobra.nte.Municipal Advisory Council was Wednesday,June 11, 2008.
Thank you again for this opportunity to serve the community. I will continue my appointment as
a member of CSAR-9 (parks and recreation)in El Sobrante Valley until the end of this year.
