THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

On this date, Federal D. Glover, Chair of the Board of Supervisors, invited the public to speak.
The following persons spoke:
• Paul Rangel, Brentwood resident and Contra Costa County Fire Department mechanic,
voiced his concerns on healthcare problems and budget cuts. Would like to see this done
in stages and would work with the department to assist in anyway he can.
• Rolie Katz, Business Agent PEIU Local 1, spoke in regards to a historical anniversary
event in reference to Loving Day(For Richard and Mildred Loving). This was a
landmark civil rights case that took place many years ago.
• Allen Cohen for Lin Tony, representative for ICIU asked to have C.63 removed from the
agenda as they were still in discussion and meeting on these issues. Would like to bring
this agenda item back once completed.

Wc requested a reclassification in 2006. Our members deserve

Local 512 already has one. Unfair Practice Charge pending against
the County for failing to Meet and Confer appropriately. The
