Hello,
I am a resident of the unincorporated area of Contra Costa County called East
Richmond Heights. I have recently tried to refinance my home mortgage and have
run into problems due to my zip code. When I heard this from the many lenders
I decided to look into my zip code. I did not know that the city of Richmond
shares the 94805 zip code. This means that lenders are considering my property
as insides the Richmond city limits. Currently Richmond is having above
average foreclosure rates and this is limiting the loans that are available to
me and reducing the appraised value of my home and in turn costing me money.
I would like to propose that at least East Richmond Heights get its own Zip
Code or preferably a new name and Zip Code. N
Thank you for your time.
