SUBJECT: Approval of Contract#24-681-80(1)
with Turning Point Community Programs (dba Pine Tree Gardens)
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION(S):
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand) to execute
on behalf of the County, Contract #24-681-80(1) with Turning Point Community Programs (dba
Pine 'Free Gardens), a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $66,153, to provide Augmented
Board and Care Services, for the period from June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2009.

']'his Contract is funded 100%Mental Health Realigrunent funded.
BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOIi RECOMMENDATION(S):
']'his Contract meets the social needs of the County's population in that it provides augmentation of
room and board, and twenty-four hour emergency residential care and supervision to eligible
mentally disordered. clients, who are specifically referred by the Mental IIealth Program Staff and
who are served by County Mental Iealth Services.
On September 11, 2007, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract#24-681-80 with Turning Point
Community Programs (dba Pine "Tree Gardens), for the period June 1, 2007 through May 31, 2008,
for the provision of augmented board and care services for County-referred mentally disordered
clients.
Approval of Contract #24-681-80(1) will allow the Contractor to continue to provide augmented
board and care services, through May 31, 2009.
