These outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa County. BACKGROUND: On June 26, 2007, the Board approved a contract with Cambridge Community Center to provide Head Start program wraparound services to forty (40) program eligible children between the ages of three (3) to five (5) years in the Central Contra Costa County region. Department program staff has since determined it necessary to increase the number of slots allocated to this program to forty-four (44); the additional children to begin receiving services April 1, 2008.
