FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of$1,030,708.68."Funded.by;Federal Qualified Health Center and Coverage Initiative funds. Costs are included in the 2008/09 recommended budget. BACKGROUND: The Department/Public Health Clinic Services has established a new School Based Mobile Health Centers to outreach and provide health services to County school age children. The Family, Maternal,and Child Health,Ambulatory Care,and Pediatrics units have collaborated with the Public Health Clinic Services to expand its service base. The Public Health Clinic Services will provide on-site health care services at locate, county high schools,middle schools and elementary schools by utilizing f66r mobile.'Health'centee vehicles. The above positions are necessary to appropriately staff these mobile clinics. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this request is not approved, the Health Services Department/Public Health Clin.ic•Se ill not have the necessary ersonnel t appropriately staff these mobile clinics and will not be able to outreach and/or provide clinical servic s to sch I based childran.
