BACKGROUND
The existing Fire Station was constructed in 1972. Growth in the Antioch area has significantly
increased the call volume, apparatus demand, Arid the need for emergency services from this station.
Due to the small size of the station quarters (only 1,002 square feet of living area) the station has
become functionally obsolete. In order to gain needed living and work area, this station addition will
add three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an exercise room. The remodel will also include ADA
upgrades to the existing quarters. In March 2008, the Fire District received $1,202,403 from Antioch
Facilities Fees for growth impact mitigation.
