CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Employment & Human Services Department Community Services Bureau supports
three of Contra Costa County's community outcomes - Outcome 1: "Children Ready
for and Succeeding in School," Outcome 3: "Families that are Economically Self-
sufficient," and, Outcome 4: "Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing." These
outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early
childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout
Contra Costa.County.
BACKGROUND:
The Administration for Children and. Families (ACF), and the California Department of
Education both require.that family and child assessments be conducted for each family
within the program. The family and child assessment modules are required by federal
rule to collect data on a family's progress towards self-sufficiency and the child's
progress for school readiness. This contract provides for the maintenance of the
customized, Internet-based server platform for data input and report retrieval.
