(Budgeted, 50% Federal, 50% State funds) (All Districts) FISCAL IMPACT: Contract is funded by Federal Head Start grant (50%) and the California Department of Education (50%). Funding is included in the department's FY 2008-09 budget. No County costs... (38-764-8) April 22, 2008 CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: The Employment & Human Services Department Community Services Bureau supports three of Contra Costa County's community outcomes - Outcome 1: "Children Ready for and Succeeding in School," Outcome 3: "Families that are Economically Self- sufficient," and, Outcome 4: "Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing." These outcomes are achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa.County. BACKGROUND: The Administration for Children and. Families (ACF), and the California Department of Education both require.that family and child assessments be conducted for each family within the program. The family and child assessment modules are required by federal rule to collect data on a family's progress towards self-sufficiency and the child's progress for school readiness. This contract provides for the maintenance of the customized, Internet-based server platform for data input and report retrieval.
