Glover Page 2 BACKGROUND As the tenns'of appointment for the myriad Board committee assigrunents expire, itis Necessary to consider and make reconunendations to fill the vacant assignments. On May 5, 2008, the tern of the current Local Agency Formation Con-unission Alternate appointment will expire. I am reconunending the re-appointment of Supervisor Piepho to a new four-year teen-expiring on May 7, 2012, On June 30, 2008, the terms of the County's two regular and two alternate seats on the Association of Bay Area Governnents (ABAG) Executive Board will expire. I am recommending the re- appointment of Supervisors Gioia and Uilkema to the Executive Board and Supervisors Bonilla and. Piepho as Executive Board Alternates to new two-year teens expiring on June 30, 2010. On.lune 30, 2008, the tern of Board of Supervisors Appointee #6 seat on the Contra Costa County Employees' Retirement Association (CCCERA) Board of Trustees will expire. I am recommending the re-appointment of Supervisor Gioia to a new three-year term expiring on June 30, 2011. Note that the Internal Operations Committee is currently recruiting to fill the other Board of Supervisors seats on the CCCERA Board and will bring its recommendations to the Board of Supervisors in June..
