(Countywide Lighting&Landscaping(LL-2) District, Zone 38 Funds) (All Districts) Project No.: 7805-6X5524 SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RI--COMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICA-r10N RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Azevedo Landscape effective February 1,2008,to increase the payment limit by$24,000 to a new payment limit of $43,000 and to extend the term from February/1, 2008 to January 31, 2009 for the provision of landscape and grounds maintenance services. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no impact to the County General Fund. All costs are covered by Countywide Lighting&Landscaping(LL- 2) District, Zone 38 funds (100%). Since this time Azevedo's Landscape has continued to provide services that include maintenance of the Parker Avenue trees, signboard areas, Lefty Gomez Ballfield Complex and Playground, and the Rodeo Creek Trail. In order to continue these maintenance services to Zone 38, it is our recommendation that Azevedo's Landscape continue their contract with the County. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Without Board of Supervisors' approval,landscape and grounds maintenance cannot be implemented for Lighting and Landscaping Assessment District (LL-2) Zone 38.
